    What is the recent volcano that erupted?

    Alaska's volcano, Mt Redoubt erupted explosively late in the evening of 22 March 2009. According to the reports, it has shown that the ash cloud have reached at least 65,000 feet(18,000m)above sea level. It has erupted 5 times from late Sunday through early Monday, after "sleeping" for 20 years. The citizens of Alaska's largest city, Anchorage, were spared from falling ash.

    The fallen ash can cause irritation, mainly to the eye, nose and throat. Breathing difficulty can also be experienced.
